About These Terms

These terms apply when you book or receive treatment with Glow By Rica, a nurse-led aesthetic clinic at Suite 115, Phenix Salon, Springwell Square, Derby, DE1 1FB.

Treatments are carried out by an NMC-registered nurse. By booking an appointment you are agreeing to these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains how your information is handled.

Who We Can Treat

We treat adults aged 18 and over only. We may ask for photographic identification to confirm your age, and we cannot treat you without it if there is any doubt.

This applies to every treatment we offer, without exception.

Booking and Deposits

• A 50% deposit is required to secure your appointment. Your booking is not confirmed until it is received.
• The deposit is part-payment towards the cost of your treatment, not an extra charge or booking fee. The balance is due on the day.

Cancelling or Rescheduling

• Please give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange. Your deposit will be moved to your new appointment or refunded.
• With less than 24 hours' notice, or if you do not attend, we may keep the deposit. The appointment time has been held for you and can rarely be filled at short notice.
• If we need to cancel or rearrange, you can move to another appointment or have your deposit returned in full. Refunds are made by the original payment method, normally within 14 days.

If something unavoidable happens, please tell us as soon as you can. We will always consider individual circumstances.

Consultation and Clinical Assessment

All treatment is subject to consultation and clinical assessment. Booking an appointment does not guarantee that a particular treatment will go ahead.

• Where it is clinically appropriate, we may recommend a different treatment to the one you enquired about.
• We may decline or postpone treatment if we do not consider it appropriate or safe for you. This is a professional duty, and it is always made in your interests.
• If, after consultation, we decide that no suitable treatment can be offered, your deposit is refunded in full.
• If a suitable treatment is offered and you simply decide not to go ahead, the normal cancellation terms above apply.

Treatment Results

Aesthetic treatments are individual, and results cannot be guaranteed. How you respond depends on factors such as your anatomy, skin, age, lifestyle and how your body metabolises the product.

We will discuss realistic, achievable outcomes with you before treatment. Anything we say about likely results is a professional opinion, not a promise, and further treatment or top-ups may sometimes be needed at additional cost.

Aftercare and Follow-Up

You will be given verbal and written aftercare advice. Please follow it, as it reduces the risk of complications and helps you get the best result.

If you have any concerns after treatment, contact us first and as soon as possible. Most issues are straightforward when they are seen early, and we cannot take responsibility for problems that were never reported to us.

• If you have symptoms of a serious reaction, such as difficulty breathing, seek urgent medical help by calling 999 or going to A&E. Tell us afterwards.

Photographs

There are two separate things here, and they are treated differently:

• Clinical photographs form part of your medical record. They are used to assess, plan and review your treatment, and are kept securely with your records. This is a normal part of safe clinical practice.
• Marketing, promotional or educational use is entirely optional and always requires your separate, explicit consent on your consent form.

Declining marketing use will never affect your treatment or how you are cared for. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us, and we will stop using the images going forward, although we cannot recover material already printed or shared.

Payment

The balance of your treatment cost is payable on the day of your appointment. Prices shown on this website are a guide and are confirmed at consultation, as the final cost depends on the product and amount you need.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with any part of your experience, please tell us. We would always rather hear about it and put things right.

• We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days
• We aim to give a full response within 20 working days. If it is going to take longer, we will tell you why and keep you updated

If you remain unhappy, you may raise the matter with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the regulator for registered nurses in the UK.

Your Legal Rights

Nothing in these terms removes or limits your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to services carried out with reasonable care and skill.

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where the law does not allow us to do so.

How we collect, use, store and protect your personal and medical information, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it, is set out in our Privacy Notice.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here at the time of your booking is the one that applies. Any changes will be shown on this page with an updated date.
